I have always been a "birth nerd" and loved learning as much as I could about pregnancy and birth. It all started 8 years ago with the birth of my first child. Since then I have dedicated my life to birth work, and my passion for women & their babies has only grown. I believe all women deserve a doula. Doulas provide support in pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, newborn care, and breastfeeding. Having a doula present for birth improves birth outcomes. In fact, doula-supported women are 28% less likely to have a Cesarean birth, 31% less likely to use synthetic oxytocin to speed up labor, 9% less likely to use any pain medication, and 34% less likely to rate their childbirth experience negatively!
